Lauderma didn't start in a lab. It started with a daughter's frustration — and a mother's determination to help.

Our co-founder spent years battling acne, blemishes, and stubborn dark spots. She tried product after product — big commercial brands, dermatologist recommendations, viral trends. Nothing worked. Many left her sensitive skin irritated, stripped, and worse than before.

Her mother, a Registered Nurse, watched and knew there had to be a better way.

Drawing on her nursing knowledge and their shared Afro-Caribbean heritage, she began researching the botanical ingredients that generations of Caribbean women had used long before the modern beauty industry existed — plants, roots, and natural remedies passed down through families and rooted in African tradition. She bridged that ancestral wisdom with clinical skincare science — and together, mother and daughter built Lauderma.
